Bad Astronautics  (with apologies to Phil Plait)

Some of you may have seen the Aviation Week articles about
'Blackstar', an alleged 1990s secret air-launched classified spaceship.
For the record, I'm highly skeptical. 

For fifteen years, the generally respected Aviation Week magazine
has been running occasional articles like this by William B. Scott about
alleged weird classified aircraft seen in the sky - so far not 
much of which has panned out. I'm highly skeptical; reading the
article, it seems to be mostly speculation and based on
information from people working on some kind of black reentry
vehicle (possibly for a missile RV) and deployment of some kind
of odd air-transported aircraft - maybe an early UAV.
