KH-8 flight 49 (GAMBIT 87) was launched on 1977 Sep 23 by Titan 23B Agena D from Vandenberg and operated until Dec 8. The spacecraft carried a supplementary Space Test Program experiment, the S76-1 NAVPAC autonomous navigation experiment. NAVPAC combines an accelerometer and Transit NNS receivers to derive the spacecraft's orbit.
