Satellite filtering list asblist.tsv

The TSV versions of the constellation lists are at The tab-separated file https://planet4589.org/space/supporting/asb/asblist.tsv was created to allow simple filtering of the GCAT data. The fields are:
  1. JCAT - S followed by the US satcat number from space-track
  2. Name - satellite name from GCAT
  3. Type:
  4. Area estimate 1, main bus length times diameter
  5. Area estimate 2, main bus diameter times span of longest appendage

True area is likely between the two estimates. When area1 and area2 are similar, it's well understood. However area2 can be much, much larger than area1, especially in the case of tether experiments (small sat with tether up to 20 km long)

  6. Orbital status:
  7. Alive status: alive or dead
  8. World it's currently on or orbiting, usually Earth
  9. Constellation flag:
  10. Program name: Program name or constellation name. Can be used to group related payloads.
