Launched in Feb 1967 only a week after the first, the second Diad`eme geodetic satellite D-1D was similar to D-1C. Its Doppler transmitter operated until Apr 5. Mass was 23kg. [1] This was the last orbital flight from Hammaguir; soon afterwards, the French evacuated Algeria, and their space program was transferred to their South American colony of La Guyane.
