Active Catalog Column Descriptions
The
active catalog
lists payloads which are or may be still transmitting.
However, I only infrequently update the active/not-active status of satellites and in any case the status is often a guess,
if the satellite does not actively manuever.
The fields in this file are all simply copied from satcat and psatcat, for full explanation see the documentation
for those files.
- (1) JCAT - NORAD number
- (2) Piece - COSPAR designation
- (3) Name
- (4) LDate - Launch date UTC (from satcat)
- (5) LState - State associated with the launch provider/agency (from launch cat)
- (6) Owner - Owner/operator organization, see the Orgs catalog (from satcat)
- (7) OwnState - State associated from the owner (from satcat)
- (8) UNState - State which registered it with the UN (from psatcat). If in squar
state which *should* have registered it with the UN but has not yet done so.
- (9) Mass (kg) - total mass, from satcat
- (10) Class - see psatcat
- (11) Category - see psatcat
- (12) TF - flag denoting special status of activity, from psatcat. Z - zombie sa E -
active but beyond Earth orbit. Other values are not currently meaningful.
- (13) Perigee (km) of a representative early operational orbit, km, from satcat
- (14) Apogee (km) of a representative early operational orbit, km, from satcat
- (15) Inclination (deg) of a representative early operational orbit, km, from sat
- (16) OpOrbit - string representing orbit type, from satcat
